Currently, Anthem MRX and AVM units do not support a lossless tier via Spotify Connect. Our current implementation is optimized for the standard Spotify Connect experience to ensure the most stable playback possible.
Achieving High-Resolution Audio on your Anthem
The MRX and AVM series are engineered with premium internal DACs and Anthem Room Correction (ARC) to deliver an audiophile-grade experience. To bypass the current limitations of integrated streaming apps and experience true bit-perfect, high-resolution audio (up to 24-bit/192kHz), we recommend the following:
Dedicated External Streamers:
Connect a high-performance network transport (such as a WiiM Ultra, Bluesound NODE, or Eversolo) directly to your Anthem via Coaxial or Optical digital inputs. This allows your Anthem to do the heavy lifting of digital-to-analog conversion and room correction while accessing lossless tiers from Tidal, Qobuz, or Amazon Music.
Google Cast:
Supports high-resolution streaming up to 24-bit/96kHz from compatible apps.
Apple AirPlay:
Provides a solid, CD-quality (16-bit/44.1kHz) foundation for Apple Music and other iOS services.
Our Recommendation: To truly hear the difference that Anthem engineering makes, we suggest using a physically connected high-res streamer. This ensures that your signal remains uncompressed and takes full advantage of our advanced internal processing.
